We ended the trip on a high note. The awaited beach! It was sandy, the weather warm, and if you could disregard the large crowd holding cigarettes and the other splashing kids in the pretty crowded area (conveniently cropped from our pictures), it was a great setting.
Meg showed no signs of last year's hesitation towards water. Paige was close behind. With floaties attached, they went out and back to a distant tree many times. That made the time much more positive! Tyler was a bit less excited about the cold water. He'd go out in Matt's arms, but was happy to return and throw handfuls of sand back into the waves.
Three hours passed quickly. Farmer's tans were replaced with red sunkissed shoulders! A good way to go out.
