Mini-Matt with the "Ma-Mower"
These pictures make me smile. Not just the burly legs on an undressed morning. Nor the pink he pushes from sisters. More Matt's hat. More his ears. Mostly his expressions! Yep, a Mini-Matt for sure!
First thing Tyler hunts down in the backyard is this PINK stroller. There are times when he pushes a doll around in it, but more often it is a lawnmower. Pronounced "ma-mower" in his speech. No riders needed. To get it going, he ALWAYS reaches midway down the right handle and quickly pulls an imaginary cord up over his shoulder. Mimicking me on a mowing day, he musters all the strength he has!
He points out a lawnmower ANYWHERE he sees one. The one in the landscaping truck driving down the road, the one Grandpa pushes in his yard, the one in our shed. Today he was yelling "ma-mower" as I buckled him up after grocery shopping. What? "A lawnmower, Tyler?" He solemnly nodded his head in the affirmative and then went on to say "truck." Now a truck makes more sense in a parking lot. Done buckling, I turn around and see nothing less than a LAWNMOWER sitting in the bed of the nearby truck. He KNOWS his lawnmowers and has some sixth sense of anytime there is one near.
Next time I see a small plastic toy mower, it'll be purchased and brought home. Something more manly to parade around behind!
