We stopped in Logan, yesterday. A planned spot for lunch. A planned temple visit! This was a new spot to the kids. A revisit for Matt and I. I've always liked the quiet street surrounding this temple. I remember this temple well from the many weekend trips we made with Mom to visit my grandparents growing up. I remember looping around it while at Utah State and Matt was a world away on his mission. I remember attending sessions for some needed peace during our first months of marriage.
The busy roads and added storefronts proved that it has been a long time since I visited Logan last. A long time since I was at Utah State. A long time since Matt and I lived in our first apartment together, just around the corner from the base of the temple grounds. But even in that long time, this small spot of Logan remains the same. Same beacon in the hill.
During this little visit of ours, there was alot of garden box walking, waterfall feeling, and down the hill rolling (wanted to replay Manti's grass hill). As we watched the kids rolling down, an older gentleman walked down the stairs towards us. He couldn't help but laugh as he watched Tyler's roll go more up and across than down. His comment to us, "See, real entertainment doesn't cost much!" Matt's reply, "This is how they enjoy the temple at their age, sometimes." "Very true" the man agreed. Very true.
