envaytid

I love that Meg can phoetically sound out words well enough to get her point across. Nearly everyday includes her taking scraps of paper and disappearing to write her idea of the moment. There are the predictable shopping lists and the funny dialogs to go with her meticulous sketches. There are stories to read and "workbooks" to record scientific observations. Yesterday's writings took four individual pages. Carefully copied mulitiple times, her "invitations" informed us of an upcoming singing concert. We were each "envaytid."
Dad you are invited to my singing concert. To Dad from Meg.

Of course before official admittance, the entrance had to be marked (pictured), the seating had to be arranged (over-turned cradle, upside-down laundry basket, and computer chair), and decorative toys had to be lined up.
Where Meg sings. She invited Tyler and Paige and Mom and Dad.

I am not sure exactly what prompted the bedroom concert. Perhaps it is the practicing her Kindergarten class has been doing for an upcoming "Seasons Concert" in a few weeks. Or, it might have been a way to use the fancy plastic microphone she choose as a prize from the dentist (Too bad she didn't also use her cheap colored glasses that were selected as her second prize for dentist fillings. They would have completed the diva look.). Whatever the reason, she had microphone in hand and lyrics in mind!

For those of you who were not within our four walls to receive a handwritten invite, here are a few short clips of two current hits!
